So far, it seems like Microsoft gave us a gift by making the Zune incompatible with the Plays4Sure format.  It&#039;s a great example of the  kinds of inconveniences and forced obsolescence that we can look forward to with DRM and the DMCA.

great post! I&#039;ve started to realise how significant DRM and things can become; before I figured it was a nuisance, now I know it is, and will become, far more than that!

The more people write about it though the more people will realise, and the more people like Microsoft release devices so ridiculous as the zune the quicker it will be rid off - in my humble opinion...
