Hi, Nancy. You’re welcome, and thanks for commenting. I think those two organizations are the same — the Kids Against Hunger web site says it is a program of Feeding Children International. I seem to remember that they we’re transitioning to primarily use the new name.

I saw an article about Feed My Starving Children and a photo there looked like the same setup with the food packaging.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I have recently found out about KAH and am planning to bring my employees there for a team building outing. This is so much more meaningful than bringing everyone out for a night of bowling!
Does anyone know if Kids Against Hunger is the same as Feed My Starving Children?
In this world, it just does not make sense that anyone should starve. How could you not want to take part in something like this! What a great concept!

Wow! We sent thousands of meals to katrina, it is so cool to hear about someone getting it, thank you Linda and Buddy! Just to let Ed know, anyone can start a satellite, almost anywhere! Scott, thanks again for posting this, it was a great article! Actually as far as the machines go, if we had ten machines we could feed the entire world everyday. (840 million malnourished) We will never stop the people feeding people packagings, it is too much of a blessing for people to be able to give. God bless, Tim S

I just wanted to say thanks to the volunteers and the foundation. My husband and I were given your products to eat during Hurricane Katrina and we were grateful for them. We received the products at a relief station somewhere near Biloxi,Mississippi. Again, Thank you for helping us when we needed it most.

Thanks for your comment, Tim. I’m glad you enjoyed the article, and I’m glad people like you are working on this problem.

Sharing is the key, which is why I’m so befuddled by the people who want to control and make it difficult to share digital culture and knowledge. It costs nothing to reproduce!

Imagine if we had a machine that could duplicate food at no marginal cost: how could anyone argue that we should not do this? Food for the body and food for the soul. It will be a great day when everyone can consume as much of each as they need.

Just wanted to thank you for the cool article! I work at the division in Mankato, (Kids Against Hunger) and I am so pumped when people get a hold of it like this. We can end starvation, it’s just really hard, and requires us to give up of ourselves more. Like mom used to say…Share…if we all did that to the extent that sometimes it hurt, I don’t think we would have any more starving!

This site is primarily about free software and free culture, although I think the aims of those seeking to help provide food for needy people go nicely with those who would like to provide software and culture for little or no cost! (That is, we should help in the ways that we can.)

some people from here talked with the leaders of KAH at a convention. we already have a sample box of the food supplies. I would like to know more about the satellite situation. may the Lord be with us in Christian, humanitarian activities.
