Friday Photopost: Sylvan Lake in the Black Hills

Not saying yet that this is absolutely going to be a regular feature at Moving to Freedom, but these are easy to do and lets me put something out on a light blogging week. I've had a few more subscribers this week, and I'm sorry I'm not giving you more for your efforts. But not really sorry: the current offer is a minimum of one post per week. In any case, thanks for reading!

Standard Notice: More pictures with my two-megapixel Olympus camera. The pictures link to 1600x1200 and 1200x1600 versions that you might enjoy as wallpaper or for other uses, and please feel free to make use of them under the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license. Here is Sylvan Lake in Custer State Park in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Calling it a "lake" may be kind of an ambitious description of the place. There's not a lot of water in the Black Hills, which goes along with a blessed lack of mosquitoes.

Next up is from the "Sunday Gulch" trail from the same area. I thought this was a very cool trail, going down, down, down before coming back up. Lots of rock to scramble over and pretty pines. This shot doesn't show anything especially spectacular, but it's the kind of picture I think makes for good wallpaper:

And below the fold is a similar picture at 1200x1600 for people like me with vertically oriented monitors.
