I wouldn't call what I have put up in the novel area high quality work, but there are parts of it that I like. Plus, I think there may be some high quality ideas in there that might get someone else motivated. I do think that this whole copyleft / Free culture thing is likely to have a long ramp up time. Sorry to hear I can't motivate you to do nano, but I do hope you are enjoying your little one. My guy is five already and still such a joy. all the best, drew Yes, well….

Thanks for visiting and commenting. Yep, I like the BY-SA license as way of saying I believe in freedom and sharing. In reference to the discussions at Unbounded Freedom, it will be great if/when we start seeing high quality work released under the license. I can imagine a compromise of selling to a publisher under old copyright and then releasing as BY-SA six months to a year later. I would be ok with that. I'm familiar with NaNoWriMo and have idly considered it in the past. I think it's a good thing if it can get you to put a lot of words down on paper. I'm almost positive I won't do it this year with everything going on -- a new baby, this blog, and wanting to work on using more free software. (That's a new baby and the blog, not that the blog is the new baby :-) Hi, drew. Thanks for visiting and commenting. Yep, I like the BY-SA license as way of saying I believe in freedom and sharing.

I am happy to see you using the BY-SA license. I will have to make some time to read this. My 2005 NaNoWriMo novel "Tings" is also under a BY-SA license: http://www.ourmedia.org/node/111123 I am planning on writing another this year: "Sayings" Would you care to take the nano challenge and do the same? http://www.nanowrimo.org/register.php all the best, drew p.s. - looking forward to bumping into you more in the future.
